My Pretty White Wardrobe

When I was a young little girl, my wardrobe was my treasure chest. Coming from a big family, I felt, back then, like I didn't get a lot of private time on my own, there would always be one sibling around, so I would really long for the times where I could be alone, and play on my own.
My wardrobe was the place where I could store not only all my toys, my books, but also the clothes and outfits I was not supposed to share with my other sisters. It was my everything. I could also hide in it during one of our numerous hide-and-seek games. I remember it looking a bit old-fashioned, my parents being a lot in that kind of furniture, and all white and pretty girly.

Now that I'm an adult, my wardrobe has grown up one – or probably 10 sizes bigger – and I do have a lot more clothes. With the addition of the countless amount of shoes and bags, some of them being designer, it is also my treasure chest, but in a totally different way. Gone are the toys, the Barbie dolls and the books, it's now mainly packed with all kinds of outfits, and it allows me to store them safely and keep them in mint condition. It is also not white anymore, thank you to my two adorable but messy boys who would leave their little fingerprints everywhere.
