Around this time of the year we tend to see an increase in garden party and BBQ invitations. This is, normally, a welcome change from the hibernation period that comes with winter. However, with such events there is almost always a degree of responsibility involved and this is usually in the form of baking. Cakes and fruit tarts are typically asked to be made by guests in order to help contribute to the diverse selection of food, whilst also relieving the host or hostess of spending a solid week of preparation in the kitchen! Once you have finally decided on the recipe and the final product is baked and looking ready to go, it is time to consider your presentation. In a previous article we have looked at the importance of a high quality and eye-catching cake stand, but an item many always forget is the cake server.
A cake slice will make the life of every baker far easier when it comes to serving. This item is often rather simplistic when it comes to appearance, normally made of metal with little design detail. After all, it must be remembered that the main purpose of these products is practicality! However, there are also a number of delicate and stylish designs available on the market.
