Everybody Loves Cocktails
So the January blues have kicked in? What better way to combat those negative feelings than with a classic cocktail party. This get-together is guaranteed to brighten the mood and during this time of the year it is always nice to have something planned to look forward to. For those of you who are grimacing at the computer whilst reading this, contemplating the endless lists and planning such an event will need, let me assure you that this idea is actually fairly easy to organise and relatively inexpensive. Specifying a drinks party means that catering food is no longer a priority, a few nibbles and canapés will do the trick! A theme is also not essential but if you are looking for a more glamorous and flamboyant evening then a theme is a great way to pull the night together. Overall, the focus should be on the drinks!
To make things even easier we are including one of our favourite recipes for you to try at home.
Mai Tai
Ingredients:
1 ½ parts Bacardi Carta Blanco
½ part Cointreau Liqueur
¼ part Lime Juice
1 ½ parts Pineapple Juice
1 ½ parts Orange Juice
1 dash Grenadine
1 part Bacardi Carta Negra
Lime Wedge or Mint to garnish
How to Mix:
Add plenty of ice to your shaker and shake for around 20 seconds. Strain the mix over ice and add to a glass of your choosing. Then garnish with a wedge of lime or mint to finish.
